Karen Volpert
MA in Decorative Art, Sotheby’s Institute of Art, London
Karen has always been passionate about objects. From the time she was a young girl she was arranging and polishing treasured family heirlooms in her family’s Chicago home.
After working for years as an interior designer, Karen viewed her relocation to London from 2014-2018 as an opportunity to dive more deeply into the decorative arts. She studied ancient Chinese and 18th century European ceramics at Sotheby’s Institute. As a member of the Decorative Arts Society she learned about 20th century British and contemporary ceramics as well as contemporary glassblowing.
Karen's learning experiences have taken her on a global exploration of these mediums and she brings a wealth of knowledge and resources to each project.
